Scholarships are a small part of what IPTAY supports and the percentage of athletes making that kind of money is smaller still
I am one that believes the value of the scholarship, training facilities, room and board and education, at least at Clemson, is not appreciated enough

At some point though, before too long, this whole thing is going to blow up and the "student athlete" as well as college athletics as we have always known them is going to cease to exist.

Only if you want to go to football games, park in a parking lot and care that at least 90% of the athletes at Clemson will make no money from NIL.

wrong with the whole thing.
The folks cashing in on NIL will be the ones who were going to make money as pros anyway.
It’s just an early (and unnecessary) advance payment on their pro contract.
People who favor (or are okay with) the NIL need to understand that the players who work just as hard as the stars are getting nothing for their effort but scholarship support.
If that group represents 90% then maybe it’s time for college ball to only be played by that group and the would-be NIL beneficiaries should go straight to the pros.
