Sooooo, I'd give Clemson's OL a slight edge, and I'd give Gallman a bit of an edge of Scarborough, but this kid didn't ask my opinion.

I don't agree. I mean, really, Troy came within 7 points of winning AT Clemson so anything is possible Monday night in Tampa...

And you were tied 0-0 going into the 4th quarter with LSU...your point?
I mean, you do have enough research done and knowledge to realize at one point (week 12 specifically), Troy was ranked #25 in the AP, right? http://collegefootball.ap.org/poll/2017/12
It's funny how many Bama fans I see keep mentioning Troy (a game way back in September), but don't want to discuss 4th quarter 0-0 vs LSU or the shaky start vs FCS Chattanooga.

HUGE difference between Troy and LSU. Even Auburn could have and almost did beat y'all...

Troy was near the end of the season in the TOP 25...LSU now is only at 20....LSU is 7-4...Troy is 10-3. Do I think LSU is better than Troy, yes...but you're hardly giving Troy much credit for the team they actually are. How has Clemson looked after the Pitt loss, or even during it (40 points, over 630 yards...)??
And still you're going back to a game in September (why, so you can compare to Bama at the END of the year).....how about OH State?? Big difference between LSU and them too. Well, while your defense held Auburn to nearly the same points that Clemson did in that game (13 vs 12) and you scored just 30, Clemson 56-7'd one of your SEC teams that weekend in a game that is now known as the biggest loss by an SEC team to an ACC team in history.

Exactly right. LSU is a very good team, especially since they got rid of Miles.

I saw what powerhouse Kentucky did to him too. Jabber jawing on here does nothing. We'll see what happens Monday between the lines with the people that actually can make a difference in this game. Go Tigers!!!

LSU is a very good and very incomplete team. They have absolutely no vertical passing game.
As far as Louisville goes, Louisville tanked as bad as any team I've seen in recent memory. Couple of reasons for that - namely, they never have much depth since Petrino is a lousy recruiter and mostly signs retreads out of JUCO or formerly arrested guys kicked off other squads - see Josh Harvey-Clemons (UGA) or Devonte Fields (TCU) - or he'll opportunistically pluck transfers like UAB WR Jamari Staples. But they had a whopping 21 transfers who had inadequate backup and who were also not terribly invested...and once the season went south, they collectively ground down and tanked. (This has been a pattern of Petrino teams for awhile now.) Also, once enough film got out, everybody started getting the sense of how to contain and frustrate Lamar Jackson and his turnovers rose and his productivity plummeted. Whatever, Louisville was a September sensation, not a legit challenger.
What I do remember is that Alabama was caught in a 0-0 draw with LSU going into the fourth. They'd better score a heckuva lot more than that against Clemson or Clemson will be up forty by then.
I understand that Alabama is a powerful team and you guys are proud of it, but there's some pretty significant problems with the Tide offense that switching from Lane Kiffin to a (hopefully) rehabbed Steve Sarkisian eight days before the game aren't going to fix.

yeah, I did...the same thing Clemson did to them by halftime. ^_^ Or did you not notice?? 29-9 fina, right?? Clemson had Louisville 28-10 at the HALF. Venables shifting to zone D is what changed that game.

Bama was down 3 touchdowns to Ole Miss.
Is our offense better than Ole Miss, a team who put up 40 on what Alabama thinks is their best defense every?
I would say so. Our offense line actually blocks.

Yeah maybe if we drop the ball short of the goal line enough and have 5 turnovers we'll have another close game.

You keep bringing up games that we played that were close? Keep thinking any of that matters Monday night. One thing that is for sure CLEMSON will play a whole lot better than they did week 1,2 or 3. You know deep down inside it's the Tigers year and they will not be denied. 34-24 Tigers

I mean what dif does it make, you get hot when it matters most. Clemson has lost 1 regular season game in 2 years. That's like saying it took bama a qtr in a half to score a point against Chatt. Players tend to play down in certain games, its hard to play the exact same every single week.

I really don't disagree much with the analysis. I would say OL is even and RB is even honestly and there is no way I could rate the Bama DL higher than the Tigers. All that said, he even admitted a stark difference in signal callers. DW puts this game away late. We win by 11.

QB's, RB, LB, Secondary, dline and oline don't line up against each other. The defense of one team plays the other team's offense and vica versa.
I don't talk that kind of chit when Tnet publishes something that dumb. Can their offense score on our defense better than our offense can score on their defense? 'To be, or not to be,' those are the questions which matter.
I didn't read any of the responses so I can't say if this has already been addressed. To address my questions, yes to the to be question. The other is a little more simple.
We played a year ago. Our offense did well against their defense, everyone agrees. Now we add our best WR and another WR that will draw almost as much attention a MW. We also add a year more mature RB, TE, RT and QB and a little more quality depth at the running back position. All our other WR's have another year of maturity too.
On the other side of the ball, Bama graduated a certain ACC second stringer QB who transferred there last year. He and the TE that returns cause us major problems in defending the pass. They also lost the Heisman RB to the draft. They haven't replaced all their depth on the line on either side of the ball, imo. They don't seem to be able to pass block, reckon why UW was able to torture their QB with that pitiful passrush? Probably because their QB is a freshman who is still honing his throwing mechanics, watch the film. He takes a long time to square himself before he throws. My grandmother has a more elusive first step than him when he tries to scramble. I can say the same about their RB on those first two steps too.
Our defense got gassed in the 4th quarter last year and we were missing our starting DE and a a starting linebacker was injured, arm in a restraint device. Our starting Safety went down early, remember. We added much high quality depth to our Dline and everybody is healthy. New stars emerged, thinking of you, 99!
Even across the board? Not imo.
