Hire the Liberty Coach
May 26, 2014, 3:43 PM
|
|
He left Columbia and holds several grudges and he built that coot team only to leave to take the Liberty job. He does all the recruiting and has all of those ties to the schools. He will be a lot better than the C of C coach for sure. I can bet he would love the chance to beat the coots like a drum!

What grudges does Toman hold? Not saying he wouldn't come to Clemson, but I was under the impression he was very close friends with Ray Tanner & left on his own free will to take the HC job at Liberty. He would be a dynamite hire for any program.

His wife was in Columbia two times last week and was asked if they were in town to go visit Clemson and she could not answer my wife's question at that time and they are friends! Like you said he would be a great hire!

Well coot, I bet he could very easily become to hate the coots, even if his mother and Father were the coach there.

Yep, and I bet if Rad would throw probably 85% of leggett's salary at him, he would pack up and come to be a Tiger....

sportsmanship toward our team and players in the early 2000s from his spot as 3rd base coach at BTF. His behavior was one of the reasons I've never felt compelled to pretend Ray Tanner is a classy guy. Shoot, maybe Tanner and Toman are both classy guys, but that incident reflected very poorly on Tanner's program.

just be happy not to be sent to the Columbia .... Columbia S.C, Regional... Forget hiring an ex Gamecock in hopes to improve. Accept Leggett who is one of the best coaches in the nation.

Even though we are not looking for a coach. Coach Toman and his wife Ashley would be a great addition to the Clemson Family.

in the HOF & not on the field. Best coaches don't get swept at home, swept by the coots, beat by W Carolina & Ga, southern. When is the last time we won a series with the coots? I want better

Shut down the program first
May 26, 2014, 7:41 PM

I would rather shut down the program than hire that ahole. He has the stench of Columbia on him and has proven to be a complete rear end to his players. He also is the one that came into the stands after some fans at Clemson. It was funny that when he made his move into the stands that he waited until most everyone had already left.
People that are this uniformed would be shocked to see what their wishes would result in for our program.

I was there...never saw a group of people so scared. It was funny to watch a bunch of rednecks clear out. He, along with Tanner changed the baseball program at Carolina around.

LOL....pretty sure no one was scared of that lardo. A turtle could outrun him.
Only thing they would be scared of would be that he would sit on them.

Since 2000, Carolina is the best program in college baseball (LSU can make a case as well). Toman was a big part in the success of Carolina's program.

Jim doesn't hold any grudges. He has a ring even though he was no longer with the team because Tanner wanted to recognize his contribution. I would hate to see Jim go to Clemson, I like him too much.
