Mike Vaughn, on his second segment wanted to discuss the stupid little Bama protest against Dabo we have seen. He claimed the reason they do not want Dabo is because they were somehow angry or still mad about the 2 championship game wins. I know, lol
Mickey respectfully disagreed. He said in his opinion, it was because Dabo is different. Which he is. He dances in locker room, was one of the first to do it. That’s not the Bama way. He has his stance on the portal and NIL, and that scares them. He pointed out how Saban owned Bama while he was at LSU. They still hired him. He said it scares them to think that Jameson Williams would not have been at Bama had Dabo been their coach. Mickey is spot on, those things were exactly why I thought Bama fans seemingly hate him.
So I wanted to give Mickey his props for the honest take. Mike Vaughn came across to me like a suck up with his take. I mean, come on.

I'm sure it's a combination of both. Many people forget that a lot of bammers didn't want Saban in the first place, and definitely wanted him out after he lost to ULM. It's a place that seriously lacks any humility, and they deserve another Dubose/Price/Franchione/Shula era to find some.

SECHomers can't Phathom anyone turning Bama down. 2 already have becaus ethey're LOYAL to the schools that gave them their chance. Clemson being aNC Contender and Oregon having MIKE $$$ certainly helped.

Props to him but it's a small minority of drunks. It was really a nothing burger. Most fans at Bama that write the checks love Dabo and are putting the heavy sell to get him there. I question the Clemson media overall.
Larry's pretty good. The invite only Facebook group is usually very accurate. Anyway, this has been a tough decision for Dabo. Just hope in the end, God kept leading him back here.

Bama would take Kirby Smart in a heartbeat despite him beating Saban in the 21 title game. They don't want Dabo because of his personality and his methods, not because he beat them 5 years ago. One thing I've learned from perusing other boards and listening to alot of CFB podcasts is that Dabo is fairly universally disliked by non-Clemson fans. Some of it is because he's won and winning always makes you a villian, but I think his personality also rubs alot of people the wrong way. And it's definitely alot more than being Christian.

From other fan bases (OSU, Mich Bama, SCar,etc) the most frequent comment I hear is “I hate Dabo cause he’s such a fake. No way he could really be that nice, it’s all a show.”
