Gotta feel a bit for Simmons. Seems he's always had something to deal w/ at FAMU during his tenure

APR penalties due to prior regime cost his 2nd team at FAMU (2019) the official MEAC title & Celebration Bowl berth.

Last year, they had the much publicized compliance issues w/ the school that left the Rattlers short handed I'm their opener at UNC. Even though they got it sorted out, pretty sure that also led to the debacle performance against Deions's Jackson State (eating up the mental & emotional bandwidth that should've been focused on the game).

Now he's having to deal with this.

FAMU has been an asylum run by the residents for a long while. This is only the latest in a string of episodes reaching back years. It seems like a systemic problem that could only be solved by the state legislature stepping in.

I think he is probably tilting against windmills, but I give him props for trying.
