The ACC does need some fixing. They need to get to work and provide better leadership.

Then prepare for the real dark ages of Tiger football

Our rival is going to love to see us going down with less money, more noon games, more basketball colleges added, and lots of unhappy Clemson Tiger fans.

He didn't say Clemson was going to be a part of it (the ACC). We aren't.

Clemson football won't be the same for any of us when the ACC becomes irrelevant.

I didnt say that I was happy with the ACC. I am just saying that I dont think that Clemson will end up leaving the ACC. I think that the ACC needs to somehow add two major football schools and the ones that currently exists, including our Tigers, need to perform much better than in the past 10-12 years or so.

Everyone keeps saying we need to add football schools, and understand that's a great idea. But, seriously, who do we add. Who do you convince that its a good idea to leave the big12 or sec to join. I don't see anyone. West Virginia would have been nice, but for some reason, not even the sec wanted to touch them. So who else do you suggest.

Exactly. Who can the ACC get? ND would be the only team

to turn the trick but I do not see it. Therfore because the Big 12 is aggressive and football first, unlike the ACC, both Clemson and FSU sit out their like plump figs for the taking from a leaderless ACC.

Cant disagree with you on this challenge. There are simply not may football powers available. I really think that the ACC blew its chance a year ago when the Big12 was in trouble and the likes of Texas, TT, Okla, and Okla State were possible additions to the ACC. To be honest only ND and Penn State are the only two schools that I see would work for the ACC and the odds of either of these is likely slim at best. It is a huge challenge. The ACC does have some heavy football programs, but they simply have not lived up to expectations in the near past. That includes Clemson. These programs NEED to step it up. As for the leadership in the ACC, I am highly unimpressed. Giving UNC a public reprimand on all of their issues was beyond ridiculous. This is a serious issue for Clemson and not easily solved.

no major football schools are coming to the ACC

just that simple...no one is leaving the Big12, B1G, SEC to come here. The only independent out there is ND. They've been playing a game with the B1G for 20 years. They aren't going anywhere.

What is the ACC going to do? They've already said "no" to the one thing that may have kept us.
They ain't renegotiating a contract either.

you will get use to it. the $$$ difference between ACC and sec will make it impossible for CU to compete. ACC will be like MAC or conference USA
