January can be rough on lots of folks. I always try to stay very busy and try to make it to GroundHog Day. I know then it might be 40 degrees one day and 80 the next!

I hesitate to offer any advice because I don't know your situation and certainly don't want to make it worse by saying the wrong thing. What I will say is people care maybe more than you think or know. Even strangers like me who don't know you will pray for you and ask God to bring someone into your life to help you get through some of the darker times. Even if you aren't religious or spiritual just stopping in a church office and asking for someone to speak with can at least give you someone to share your thoughts and they can provide resources and check in on you to keep you grounded.
We all deal with life and it comes at us hard and can be incredibly unfair but know that you are not alone and most of us have been through forms of what you are going through at some point in our lives.
I will continue to pray for you and pray that you will reach out for help and please, please don't give up. Miracles can happen at any time and I am praying for one for you.

Been there. Just about took me out. Chemical imbalance for me. Don’t let your brain fool ya. Get a good psychiatrist and get bloodwork done. I’m not out of it completely but meds sure helped. Prayers for you and if you need to just talk, tmail me. ❤️

I am praying for you. Just know that your life is worth saving. Go to your hospital’s ER and tell them that you are thinking of hurting yourself and would like to voluntarily check yourself in. Just know that medication for depression is a hit or miss trial and error. There is one that will work and make you feel better. Please attend support groups so that you will know that you are not in this alone.

I lost my Dad to suicide when I was 15. I can't express how devastating that was for all of us in the family and friends who loved him dearly. Please reach out to someone who can help and don't underestimate your importance to those around you who love and appreciate you. Depression can be treated. Find the people or resources who can help you understand how important you are to those who know you and care about you even if you aren't aware of their feelings. Know people care even if they don't express it.

I have two secrets to share.
I have had treatment resistant depression for 40 years. It sucks. No amount of talk therapy really worked. Exercise did a little, diet did a little, reducing alcohol did a little, ssri’s did a little but my brain kept coming back to a bad state. I always held on for my family and I do occasionally find moments of happiness. With doctor supervision and doctor prescription I have used micro doses of ketamine. Again DOCTOR supervised no illegal stuff but for 70% of people who have used this therapy, they see immediate relief like I did. It has not been a cure as my treatment resistant brain always seems to resist BUT it’s been the most effective treatment so far. And just think other better treatments could be just around the corner.
My second secret is I’m a Gamecock fan. My son goes to Clemson and at times I visit this site bc I’m curious what you guys are thinking. I’ve never posted on this site but knew I had to say something to you. I’d give a thousand Gamecock losses if it meant saving your life. Why? Bc I’m Christian first and I know someone gave his life to save me. Pls hang in there. Get help. Tell us your plan to live. We are praying for you.
