I've heard some of our vets are over in Ukraine

but this is the first American volunteer I have come across openly advertising his adventures. James Vasquez, Army veteran and a contractor from Connecticut. Seems like the genuine article.

I know a lot of vets from around the world have made the trip over there. Very Hemingway-esque.

I don’t know too many vets that would voluntarily put their fatigues back on at age 47 to go and fight in some other country’s defense, especially the d-rods of the world.

I do think this guy is being totally reckless though, just by turning his cell phone on.
