for the game? Seems like both conferences need improvement in this area from what I have seen this season.

I don't know, every Big10 affiliated individual always seems to be looking in the other direction

We'll have B1G officials at the Natty. I have an inside to a B1G official, Line Judge, that will not be doing the game but knows the officials who will be officiating the game. I requested he be asked to look at the non calls from the previous games between Bama and Clemson and provided some videos. I have no idea what will happen but was told that B1G officials basically call everything that is reviewable and let the replays sort it out. I just hope they don't ignore an "over aggressive" Bama D.

Absolutely glad! But still think Bama gets the benefit no matter who refs are. My group at the Cotton Bowl thought that crew looked like the crew at South Carolina game?????

I'm hoping for big 10 or big 12 refs. They seem the best in my opinion.

Yep, PAC has been off before. In our games and they jobbed Stanford in the PAC Championship last year. Not sure about this year, would rather not take the chance, honestly.

I'd like to have that booth review crew we had for ND.

Those guys were on top of it.Only one they couldn't overturn was the SEC ref on the field calling forward momentum stopped.

That kickoff return fumble that went out (or didn't) of bounds was a remarkable overturn. They must have had a reply we did not see on TV. The other overturns were clearly correct overturns...

Despite the fact that the reviews mostly went our way (as they should have), the refs we had against ND seemed reluctant to call PI on ND but were quick to throw it on our guys.
The PAC 12 refs we had against bama when we beat them were pretty good but missed a minimum of maybe 3 targeting calls. I know Deshaun was targeted at least once and Mike Williams was hammered another time with neither being called. Should never have happened on a reviewable play.

The Bama philosophy is to commit so many penalties on every play the refs are overwhelmed and desensitized to actual penalties. This particularly applies to defensive backs with holding and PI and offensive linemen/ TEs with holding. Saban learned in the NFL. The targeting should be the easiest for the refs to clean up given they have so many replay angles but unfortunately that falls to the TV Producer to ask for a targeting replay in time for the booth to buzz down.
