SEC Home-Home games starting to cancel already

I see Bama just canceled the HnH with WV that was slated for next year. I sure hope LSU doesn't try to cancel our game for next year although that would make little sense since they wont have to reciprocate after. This could potentially make these future games with ND more important as SEC could start canceling more HnH games like us with Okla.
Teams like The Coots will probably cancel all the future games they had with ACC if they intend on keeping our rivalry. Based on what I have read, the SEC will play 1 quality OOC other 2 will be cupcakes.
Our chances of 2 SEC games annually will diminish greatly starting next yr. If ACC goes to 9 conference games, basically we will be playing Coots, ND and one in-state team for many seasons, not much exciting future match-ups is likely coming.

Yeah we need to get rid of the garbage in state fcs games. Add nothing to the schedule and given the acc’s weakness , take away really. And we shouldn’t care one bit if those schools rely on our paycheck

Making way for the SEC/ B1G PLAYOFF CHALLENGE, coming one weekend in the next couple of years.
Kinda like the ACC / BIG bb challenge in years past. Imo

I suspect the next step on the fast track to the SuperLeague will be...

SEC will play 1. 9 conference games. 2. 1 intrastate rival (not in SEC). (FSU/UF, Clemson/SC, UGA/GT,...) 3. 1 game against B1G.
If your intrastate rival is in the SEC, or if you don't have an intrastate rival then it will probably be 2 teams from B1G.
Then in the very near future, there will be a SuperLeague with their own governing body and exclusive playoff system.

We signed a long deal to play ND every year and with SC we will not miss a beat if UGA cancels future games. Not going to matter after 2030 anyways when we join the Power 2

Yeah why would LSU cancel next year? We are going to absolutely stick it to you guys in terms of ticket price and seat location after what yall have done to us this year.

Witnessing the deterioration of New Orleans firsthand over the years and hearing of the horrible Baton Rouge experience others have had I have ZERO interest in attending the LSU game next year.

LSU doesn't have an instate rival from a Power 4 conference. Why would they cancel? They are required to play 1 P4 non-con team.
Teams like Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin in the SEC have no big games to cancel since they usually play 3 or 4 cupcakes anyways. No problem canceling a cupcake.

WVU? Bama plays FSU next year and Ohio State in 27 and 28. They will be meeting their 1 P4 non con game requirement.

I was reading the ticker on ACCN during the soccer game. Bama canceled the HnH with WVU, maybe I assumed it was next year but I guess it was future schedule. The rest of the post still stands as the future OOC games will be challenging especially if Clemson wants to keep playing 1 in-state creampuff, Coots, and then keep 10yr deal with ND. Then add the talks of potentially the ACC moving to 9 game schedule as well.

This is all a strategy to eliminate major non-conference games. Those remain the best way to measure conference vs conference strength. If you have two many nonconference games being lost by the SEC, it calls into question just how good they are. By eliminating those chances for exposure, you’re protecting the perceived conference strength come playoff time
