But she has taught for years in public schools. She certainly has a unique perspective, given the education she received versus the system she works in now. It's very different.
Don't really know much about her. She's right on one thing though, teachers need higher pay. Aside from that, there's a shortage of teachers, and has been one for years. All you really need is a good teacher, a log cabin, a chalk board, some pencils and paper, and some books. A very good teacher once told me something, he said an education teaches you how to learn. It's not important what you specifically learn, it's that you LEARN HOW TO LEARN. Once you can do that, the sky's the limit. He was one of the greatest math teachers ever. He said he doesn't care if I ever got good in math, he only wanted me to leave his class showing him that I COULD BE GOOD AT MATH if I wanted to. She had him as a teacher too I'm sure.
