Got in a little hurry there David. "Four pitchers held Liberty to just one run" yet they scored 3.

Yeah, they must have scored four runs, not three.

Those weren’t on the pitchers.

Happy to get the win but it sounds like a terribly played game on both sides. Errors, walks, hit batters and 28 LOB. ??

That was my 1st reaction also with all the runners that were left on base. Hopefully with the 1st game in the books, it will be all business now.

One earned run wasn't it... Or did they give them 2 earned. We'll take it. Wow 17 lob... But good thing is limited hits and TIGERS WIN!!!!! Baseball's back.
From that pic it was bottom 6 and the seats are empty. Sounded like a sparse crowd on the radio. Thought it'd be jammed packed. Can't think of a better way to spend vtimes day!!!!
Go Tigers!

Started watching in the Top of 7th . . .

Score was 4-1 Tigers . . .
Monte opted to go to Spiers early and it paid off well for us . . . Pitched the last 3 innings, using ~40 pitches . . . Probably burned him for tomorrow but getting the W is most important . . . Next man up . . . Right?!!!
Nice play on third in the 8th . . . Making it look routine . . .
But the coolest play of the night was in the Top of the 9th on a foul ball behind their dugout . . . A Clemson guy with his gal made the play as the ball bounced about . . . A young lad was late getting to the ball, but just before he pivoted to return to his seat the gentleman flipped him the ball, ala Hunter Renfrow style . . . only this time it was behind the back . . . It tickled the lad soooo . . . You could see his joy as he sprinted back to his seat, trophy in hand!!!
Kudos to the Tiger Guy that made that kids day!!!!!!!
The box score looks like our pitchers performed well . . . and we hit the ball well enough . . . What more can we ask for?!!!
Nice win Tigers!!!!!!!

Spiders came in and pitched really well. Our first three pitchers threw a total of 150 pitches of which only 77 were strikes. 50 % strikes won’t get it done against good hitting teams. Only the first game but we have to have better command of the strike zone to be a good team. Happy to get the W.

Agree but first game tends to be sloppy. Both teams were but we did scratch 10 hits. But the stat that says it good and bad is they had 17 lob with just 4 hits. Walks, errors, we'll get the jitters worked out.
