Experience doesn't matter when you make 0 improvements on offense. We'll do the same thing we did last season, put up points and beat the bad/average teams, then do absolutely nothing against good defenses. 2 of the last 3 losses we only give up 17 pts and still lose. Inexcusable

It's the "Clemson" offense.
Same team for 5 years now.

This is the most concerning bit.
In a vacuum, people will look at this and say 'Two top ten teams, 17-10 hard fought game... everyone dust themselves off and move on'.
Those of us that have watched the Clemson offense try to operate vs. talented teams the past 4 or so years see something a lot more alarming. This team looked a lot like those.
Offensive line couldn't run block (and then when we gave up on the run pass blocking is more difficult). Cade rolling out and making panicked throws while getting tackled. Wide receivers, when the game is on the line, showing little effort or 'I've GOT to catch this ball'.
But at this point we've changed enough parts on that side of the ball that is seems, to me at least, that there's something philosophically that's not working. The WAY they try to do offensive football has either been figured out, or requires day 1 NFL talent at most positions to work.
Whatever the explanation, not a great look.

Well said. I dont claim to be an expert but the writing is on the wall about how to defend Clemson. Stack the box, keep Cade in the pocket, press up on the WRs. Do those things and we'll fall apart. Qb draw, RB up the A gap, comeback route to the outside, slant route. That seems to be the majority of our playbook. No creativity or innovation.

I'll keep saying it...this starts with the HC. Dabos arrogance has put us behind the 8ball. Sure, we took in some transfers but outside of one play from Heldt they were a non factor. Our offense? Same scheme and philosophy from the Watson days. Only difference...deshaun or Trevor aren't suiting up. I fully believe Venables covered up a ton of program deficiencies. He was a true x's and o's coach. Dabo is great as an administrator and figurehead, but i don't believe he's elite as a tactician. Moreso, I think he's handicapped the offense to a philosophy and scheme thats stale and unchanged. 5 years running and zero improvement.

Cade looked better last year in the Texas game than this year against LSU. The offense is getting worse under Riley and Dabo.
