On perimeter road today saw a Clemson cop had someone pulled over. The parking lots are mostly empty in Summer.
In the day the Clemson Cops were known by us as "Deputy Dog" due to a popular cartoon then.

I was a cop for 30 years in the Charlotte Ghettos. Cops now trend to be very educated but not like us.

They were a lot friendlier and more community-oriented during your time; now they like to crack skulls.

No. In my day cops had to meet size and other physical requirements. Most were ex VN guys and tended to be huge, larger than me. The deal on the street that kept us safe was not body armor but reputation. In my day a badge had real power. Attack one and reap hell.

Let's start with you
Then stay at home a$$ hole and you don't have to worry about getting cracked in the head or shot with a rubber bullet. Don't show up and destroy property if you're not willing to suffer the consequences. Property destruction is not a First Amendment right now matter what your pea sized brainwashed liberal brain tells you!

I think it’s call the 1st amendment to the constitution. The right to free speech and assembly. Cops swear an oath to the constitution of the united states. They don’t swear and oath to the Orange ball of Narcissism

Understand something before spouting. I've forgotton more about the constitution than you know. You don't realize destruction of property is not protected under the First Amendment not even if the destruction proves your point. I can wear a T Shirt that says f#@k anything (fill in the blank) because that's my constitutional right. I can't go downtown, march and carry a sign that says f#@k anything (fill in the blank) or I can go sit in a park and sing Kum-ba-yah because that's my constitutional right. But, as soon as I damage personal property and injure others it is not protected under the First Amendment.
Just for you. Check on it if you can't believe this.
Is destruction of property protected by the 1st Amendment?
No, the destruction of property is generally not protected by the First Amendment. While the First Amendment protects free speech and expression, it does not shield actions that cause damage to property. This includes acts like graffiti, vandalism, and other forms of property destruction.
Here's why:
Distinction between speech and action: The First Amendment protects the right to express ideas and opinions, but it doesn't guarantee the right to engage in harmful actions.
Property destruction as unlawful conduct: Destroying property is a crime and is not considered a protected form of expression.
Limits on free speech: There are limitations on free speech, and property destruction is one of them.
Incitement to violence: Speech that incites violence, including the destruction of property, may not be protected. Examples of property destruction that are not protected:
Graffiti: Painting or writing on property without permission is a form of vandalism that is not protected.
Vandalism: Damaging or defacing property, whether public or private, is illegal and not protected. Disrupting events by vandalizing property: Vandalizing property during a protest or demonstration is not a protected form of expression.

I've had the misfortune and fortune to be involved with Greenville County deputies, and GPD as well, over the last several years - ex-wife and kid issues stemming from ex-wife issues. I've met the sheriff a couple of times and have always been quick to tell him how wonderful his deputies are. They were professional, kind, well-trained, and really knew how to deal with kids in the midst of difficult domestic situations, which is a large percentage of what they respond to. I literally couldn't have asked for better responders than the ones I've dealt with - they quickly evaluated the situation, saw through to my ex's attempts at manipulation and deceit, and acted accordingly - and with great sensitivity and caring toward my kids. I think law enforcement today is extremely well trained and insightful when it comes to incidents like these.
On the flip side, they're also much more concerned for their life and well-being than they needed to be back in the day, so if it comes down to getting their skull cracked, or risk cracking yours for doing something stupid or being belligerent, they'll quickly choose the latter. It's a sad statement that part of the regular daily uniform now is the ballistic vest. "During his time" they only used the vests when there was a particularly charged situation. Now, it's all day, every day. So, yeah, they'll be very quick to defend themselves when necessary, and I don't blame them one bit.

Older sitcoms are great! Some of the best clean humor is from that era.

Omg my favorite 😍. I actually got pulled over by a cop near Spartanburg a few years ago and he looked and acted like Barney. He couldn’t have weighed more than 140-150 pounds. He definitely had the little man complex.
