Working in Syracuse this week and went to the Carrier Dome

last night. I was surprised at the soundness of the structure. For some reason, I was expecting a temporary building with a bubble roof. Not at all. Clean/Detailed concrete structure in the middle of campus with a bubble roof ... only visible from a mile away. From what I saw, I was pretty impressed with the campus.
I'll be working in SYR through the fall and traveling back to the upstate on weekends. Looking forward to October 5th. I don't think I would have made the trip otherwise.

I looked at Syracuse's schedule on the official SU site. It has the Clemson game listed as their Homecoming. Bad idea.

BTW, hotels should be booked early. Syracuse gets a ton of Canadians who shop at Destiny.

BTW if the day is 65 or warmer...I recommend wearing shorts to the Dome. It gets a tad warm in there. I expect a full house or nearly full house so it will be loud and warmer than you expect. Recommend ear plugs if your ears are sensitive.
We do serve beer though!
I have the largest tailgate at the Fine Lot (2 blocks west of the Dome). Any Clemson fan who shows up will be warmly met with a beer/soda and food.

Read my guide for clues...if you are coming all together. Exit I-81 at Adams. Drive up the hill. After Irving look for cash lots. You need to arrive several hours early.
Otherwise go to Skytop and take the shuttle. Parking is around $15-20.
The lot I'm in is Permit only...very little permit selling but you can try posting at Syracusefan.com

In addition to being their homecoming it will also be their
first ACC game and they will have an open date to prepare for the Togers. Maybe the ACC is trying to set
Clemson up for a loss. They would not do that, would
