Glad he came to his senses. I was so worried about what some 18 year old kid from Arizona thought about SC that I was losing sleep.

it is no secret that $CU fans tend to leave a negative impression everywhere they travel and I hope the kid is mature enough and intelligent enought to realize that a bunch of moronic, trailer-dwelling, inbred, foul-mouth, gas pumping, #### lovers aren't representative of the entire state.

but..i dont know how good this kid is.if he ends up in the pros he will get it worse.if he is letting jeers get to him he wont last long in the MLB if he is good enough to go that far.now that doesnt approve what the Usuc fans did.but when you play sports there are always those guys who do those sorts of things.

onto the national stage and unfortunately represent the state of SC. Thanks alot SCum fans but I can't say i'm surprised.
Refsnyder just count your blessings that you don't have to encounter that cretan fanbase every year in every sport..I think their racist against normal white people in the upstate too. Thats just cockfans for you...now we have another school that understands the disdain.

there's a 1A team in Staten Island too. I'd guess he's gonna request to go there to avoid any bad blood.

Being in the minors isn't really a situation where a player is allowed to request much of anything.

Watch it "BigCUFAN" ..I live in a trailer on Hilton Head Is.

with a splendid water-view for one mile up Skull Creek on the ICW. It has 2 Bose sound systems, fireplace, imported leather-like furnishings, Corian tops, island bar in kitchen, crystal table lamps, dining for 4, 2 flat screen TV's that slide up from Cherry cabinets...and it listed at $200,000 retail.
Does that put me in the Coot category of trailer-living Rednecks?! Ha.
Go TiGERs!

Kid needs to get over it. Jeremy Lin heard a lot of racist

remarks in NY. New Yorkers think they walk on water and are 2nd only to San Fran/Berkeley in terms of liberal ideology as a populous. Racism is far from a southern or conservative ideology, but that's the picture the mainstream media wants to paint because it suits their narrative, their agenda. The reality is, racism is a human reality that knows no bounds.
Most people don't know there were free blacks in the south that owned slaves, or that slavery was not only legal, but embraced up north. The north didn't want a war over slavery, but then, like now, a small group of people can cause a lot of trouble if the mainstream media supports their cause.
Slavery has been around as long as man and many political conflicts around the wold today are rooted in European Colonialism. Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Central and South America are all still effected today by events set in motion centuries ago by European slavery and colonialism, yet somehow America and primary the south are pointed to as the poster child of slavery. Ironically, California and NY are still hotspots for human trafficking and child labor. Yet those enlightened liberal strongholds still look to the deep south as the ignorant purveyors of racism.

Kid needs to get over it????? You gotta be kidding me!!! Using the same twisted logic noted in some of these responses, I can only imagine what would happen if a South Carolina team made it to the Little League World Series and has to face a team from Taiwan, Korea or Japan in the championship round. I guess that some would feel that the same type of "Gee, it's only prepping the little fellers for life in the real world" spewing that Refsnyder encountered should be considered acceptable behavior. Sorry. It's not. Let's stay focused here....Regardless of where the game is being played (major league, minor league, college, high school, little league), racism is racism and it is totally unacceptable and has no place in baseball, much less society. Jeeezzzzz.

It seems legit for him to be upset and it would not surprise me that USC fans would've done this, BUT why do these 18-22 year old kids constantly think they have to post every single thought that comes into their head. What could he have possibly gained by posting this for the whole world to see?
