Watson didn't re-injure his hand on that run. The doctors have said that he basically can't re-injure it without a completely freak accident. Stop talking about running an injured Watson. It sounds ridiculous since the injury is completely separate from the hand injury.
The offense is 1000x more effective with a QB who is not a statue and can threaten the defense. That is why the OL looks so much better with Watson in the game.
The injury, if serious, was going to happen at some point anyway. Did you see how it happened? His left foot got hooked under and somehow that injured his left knee. That could have happened if he was in the pocket passing and decided to scramble.
Make all the excuses you want for Stoudt, but Watson throws that ball more quickly and with authority and that doesn't allow a safety from 20 yards deep to pick it. If anything sometimes you simply have to give credit to the defense. It was a good call given the QB in the game.
Let's hope the defense keeps it close and we limit turnovers. Go Tigers.
Okay but your argument about Watson throwing the ball is irrelevant if Morris won't call a freaking pass play. Your argument is correct but just irrelevant when it's not being utilized.
Wasn't that a play that picked up a first down?! It was a good call & effective. The injury was freakish & Blaming the OC for that is pathetically ignorant!
