Realignment and Dabo

Trying speculate on how the dust will settle don't forget about the personalities involved. Dabo is an SEC guy if the ACC goes away. The only way Dabo ever leaves Clemson is we screw this up. Clemson is trying to get in the SEC. Take that to the bank. Alabama is trying to help Clemson, so is UGA and Auburn. USC is probably against us but maybe not. If Clemson doesn't wind up in the SEC things didn't go our way. The GOR thing is a hill that must climbed. I say set up the deal with the SEC go to the ACC and offer them time to act before we announce in return for letting us out of the agreement. Don't want to let us out, boom, we announce and the ACC is no more.

The only way Dabo leaves is to be “called” to something else. Has zero to do with what conference we are in as his mission is to develop young men. He uses football as his platform and to pay the bills but winning football games while necessary is not the primary mission. Clemson is talking with the SEC, BIG while trying to fix the ACC. Failure is not any option other than the SEC. Failure is any situation where Clemson is at a competitive disadvantage. Nothing more or less.
