Does anyone know what is going on with him? He was like the 6th best DE in high school and he is listed as a 3rd teamer.

Seems like Dabo said he has all the tools but you gotta really want it in order to step up to the next level he needs in order to play.

Is it intentional, then?
Because, unless they do not listen( may not since they were there ) to the podcast then there is no way they haven't noticed you can't hear the question 85% of the time!
You have to "read the tea leaves and figure out who or what they are talking about"! I've gotten pretty good at knowing what the question "must have been" though!
Frustrating!
Anybody close to that group; can you tell them and make them aware of these little clip-on microphones that aren't super expensive that work great? Just put one on "themselves"!

Wondering if he is going to be one of those; "wait until his senior year to turn it on players"?
He hasn't hit the portal, which is interesting to me. Highly-touted but sitting on the bench for the most part. Could leave and get picked up quickly; just off his body makeup.
I think it's because "he knows he hasn't given it his all here at Clemson yet"!
I have a bottle of water to the sky hoping that he puts it all together this season and balls out!

247 had him as #6 edge which is a bit misleading. I don’t like how they rank their DLine. They don’t have a DT group. They lump some DE and and DT in the DL category. The edge defender is typically a pure pass rusher. But regardless he was a 4* prospect and he seems to be behind Denhoff who was in his same class. Also sounds like they are high on the true frosh. If I were a betting man I’d say Patterson will transfer.

To quote just about all of the coaching staff, "we don't decide how much playing time a player gets, they do". I guess he has decided that he doesn't want to play much. If he does everything he can to get on the field and still doesn't, that may mean he is just not good enough for playing time and maybe should transfer where he is good enough.

We've heard the coaching staff say multiple times that Zaire "has to want it, but he has all the tools". I think you can draw some conclusions from that.
