ClemsonOrange, Dabo isn’t angling anything. I truly think all of that stuff is in the back of his mind.
Dabo understands that if he puts in the work to get this team back, everything will fall into place.
Also, why would he ask for a raise being a top-3 highest paid coach and also knowing that he hasn’t been up to standard recently? Dabo is smart enough to not think that.
If he left, it would have to be more so like a bad breakup. Only scenario is if he concludes that he cannot flow with Clemson’s fan base.
We heard his true thoughts about certain Clemson fans when Tyler called. That was pure emotion about a certain percentage of Clemson fans, and it sounded like he could not stand them.
Hope he realizes that 98.5% think nothing like the minority.

He’s not angling for a raise. His contract guarantees he will remain one of the top 3 highest paid coaches. His response was very appropriate. What do you think President Clements would say if he were asked about Dabo’s future? I’m betting it would be something like “we love Dabo and he is our coach and we will keep him as long as he’ll have us.”. That’s not a lot different from what Dabo said.

AnM has already tried to hire him and he's turned them down for the second time in the last few year. He isn't going to embarrass any program by discussing matters between they and him.
Fact is: Every program which has done a coach search in the last decade has sent out feeler toward Dabo.
