it’s student body will be let out at Thanksgiving & not to come back until next Fall Semester.
I can appreciate lack of $ now as well as being cautious..but some officials have gone bonkers a little prematurely iMHO.

Hope Clemson doesn't have to cut any of its' other 16 athletic teams, not including the Big 3 Football,Men's Basketball and Baseball. That is ashame for Furman;wonder if Dan Scott would like to come back and do some play by play for the Tigers again in some capacity.

South Carolina's "...student body will be let out at Thanksgiving..."
Coincides with the end of football season for the Gamecocks. Convenient.

Well, it doesn't take long to learn the specifics of a fry line at a fast food enterprise. That is a shame about Furman baseball. They always fielded a decent team.

I hate this about Furman baseball. One of my funniest life lessons occurred against Furman. I struck out and on my way to the dugout the students were in me pretty hard. Just before I stepped into the dugout I gave them the middle finger. The rest of the game they rode me with relentless heckling. After the game my coach asked if I learned anything. I said “yes, and I’m surprised you didn’t bench me”. He said “I figured the better punishment was to leave you in”. He was right!!!

Oh, this is gonna get really ugly before it gets much better. Just watched some lame golf match yesterday where some company put up several million dollars for DJ and company to play golf over and give away to a charity. Watched a race, well some of it, that there were no fans in the seats. I'm not a smart man, but I'm bright enough to realize this crap can't and won't continue for very long at all when you have half to 3/4 of the work population sitting on their a$$ at home while some of us are out there making hay. This is the intro to the democrats version of socialism. College sports is nothing but a trickle down product of families and companies no longer having discretionary funds. Tip of the iceberg. Soon we won't be worried about the loss of sports and if kids get their dreams smashed because of this economic disaster. We will be trying to survive.
