I was watching TICH Jr at basketball practice tonight, all the kids were doing it. But I was riding Jr's butt all practice when I saw it. Kept yelling out, "Carry! Turnover!" when I saw it. His coach laughed... But he didn't say anything to the other kids... 🤷‍♂️

been many many years

and there was a double dribble on the Tigers late in the game


every point guard on every team palms/carries.... it just isn't called like used to be

If I remember a few years ago a ref posted on here saying there is no such thing as palming/carrying the ball in the rule book. The only thing it says is something about taking too many steps while having your hand under the ball and deceiving the defender. Now I need to go read it again.

because it's an archaic call compared to what is tought technique today.

The euro step has always been legal by nature of the "layup." That's all the euro is with a change in direction of the feet. What a tool.

They could call that anytime they want to. Not sure today’s players even have a clue what it is.

Most of these dazzling cross overs people are so mesmerized over are the guy carrying the ball in a new direction. That and walks make the game hard to watch for folks like myself. The game just doesn’t seem to be the same game I grew up playing.

I pointed out the no-calls on palming and carrying by us a couple of games ago that were blatant, but not called. We're sloppy with these fundamentals, but it's beginning to catch up to us.
