If you only could pick one, would you rather Matthews commit soon or Lagway flip to Clemson soon?
I’m stuck right here. Of course both could happen, and either of them committing to Clemson would pull the other in fact.
But we need Lagway. It’s a top QB in his class, and he just looks great.
Matthews is a good argument. We need WRs, and he could be our next great one. I actually think it’s a certainty that he would be.
But without that QB to make it all go, everything is not the same.

Matthews for sure. Had way too many injuries to wr the past 3 years, need quality depth.

Honestly, I think Lagway. I would absolutely love Matthews, as he's extremely elite and would fit perfectly into our offense. That said, we've landed some very good receivers. You can't just stack up the blue chip receivers and not think for the future. I think we're in good hands with Cade. But I don't think we've signed an heir apparent to him. I hope Vizzina ends up being good, but go look at his high school stats and accomplishments compared to our recent QBs. It's a pretty huge disparity. And I know he's young, but even though Hunter was really, really shaky, he was still ahead of Chris. Maybe he'll take a jump ahead, but we need to prepare for the future, and Lagway seems more of the kind of QB we're looking for. He's got slightly unusual mechanics, but he clearly is the kind of elite passer you need to compete in today's game.

With Lagway, you never know if he would stay the whole year. I don’t think he would ever be All In.
