They said they released him because they didn't see enough carries going to him for what they were paying him. I'm assuming they will stick with Tolbert Stewart and a couple veteran minimum udfa type players behind them.

To be honest, I was actual hoping the Panthers would take a chsnce with Gurley. Though, that is certainly taking a risk because nobody knows how strong he's gonna come back from the knee surgery. However, if he does come back 100%, he would be the playmaker, franchise RB the Panthers have really needed, and, with the addition of a top OL and a quality WR, could make them a legitimate SB contender.
