He's very likely to leave him in the dust for that starting QB job next spring/summer

I hope that the one that can run our system the best, will be the one getting the job regardless of how long they have been in our system. Seniority should never go before the most talented or the most suited for the job!!!

If Zerrick throws the ball decently AND can run some, he will get the job. Kelly can certainly run, but I have not seen him throw the football with any consistency. Perhaps, he needs a few reps to get into it.

On Mike Williams not being nominated for the Biletnikoff award, this stuff is based on stats. There's no way that these voters, Heisman, or otherwise, have taken the time to watch ALL the games to understand the impact that the candidates have on their teams. Mike Williams ranked 18th in total yards, 15th in receptions and 21th in touchdowns. As Tiger fans, we fully appreciate how impactful Big Mike and Deshaun Watson and the list goes on and on all are. And what's awesome about it - is the fact that we have a long list. And the really good teams - always have a long list - we're in good company. Only good things to come! Here's to hoping that the Tigers raise another trophy that's earned and not voted on!

Williams is hands down our best receiver this year

and he's on a team stacked with talent at that position. And we have the best QB in the game throwing the ball to them. B/c he's the best of the best he's going to be covered more and played harder. His stats might be low but his impact has been huge.

Agree 100% - you know that and I know that and everyone that watches Clemson football knows that, but the individuals doing the voting wouldn't know that unless they watched every game. I have to believe that the voters primarily go to the raw stats to narrow the finalists and then (after that) consider all of the things that you mention in your post. His raw stats weren't good enough to be a finalist, so his evaluation stops there. Mike Williams has been phenomenal - best of the best - and he did it coming back after a serious injury. I'd challenge anyone to come up with two players that have been more impactful to a team than Deshaun Watson and Mike Williams. Sadly, those metrics aren't fully considered for these awards. Go Tigers! Go earn the trophy.

Not saying he should have won the award James Conner won but, imo, Mike should have been in on that one as well.
