I like Cade don’t get me wrong but that would be on hell of a portal move to bring him in. That kid can throw a football he’s just never had a team around him.

I could be totally wrong but, I think that whenever Vizzina gets his chance for whatever the reason, people are going to be asking why we haven't seen him when Cade was actually struggling, that's bc I'm pretty sure he came to Clemson as a better "DUAL" threat QB than Cade actually was. Isn't that right?

I'd love to have him on the team but not just one year... only way would be if the coaches thought cade was at his ceiling and Vizz wouldn't be ready. But Cade hasn't begun to hit his ceiling.
Wish the kid well. He'll get paid nicely.

Not sure this would be a wise move in light of the talk during the game last night that Rogers has not fully recovered from his injury. This would be a wasted move. We have good QBs. Cade, while still raw, has shown progression all year long. Once he fully understands that that there is not always an option in the RPO, he will have arrived.
If Clemson is going to go to the portal, they need to pick up offensive linemen and wide receivers. Some of Cade’s worst decisions this year came while he was running for his life. His fumbles came from lack of blocking upfront. Cade also needs durable, consistent receivers that have a shot at the 50/50 ball. Vizzina will be a great QB, as well, and will most likely push Cade to elevate his game in the offseason. The good news is that help is on the way at receiver.

A few things on Rogers: 1) his passing stats are a product of Mike Leach’s Air Raid system - he literally passed the ball 60 times a game under Leach, mostly dinks and dunks and almost no long game, 2) his arm strength was never great - after his injury it was non-existent. Maybe he heals and gets back to where he was but that wasn’t great to begin with, 3) he’s a really good kid, a gamer, and a good leader.
That all said - there is no upside to signing him from the portal. Some word that he is heading to a G5 program like Southern Miss or Western Kentucky. Maybe he lands somewhere in the P5 but I kind of doubt it.
