Wildcat formation ...

Justin Miller, James Davis, CJ Spiller, Andre Ellington, Sammy Watkins ... have all lined up in the Wildcat for Clemson.
I would love to know what our total yardage gained has been from all the Wildcat plays run by all those terrifically talented players. I'd bet it was extremely minimal.
Certainly other teams ... most notably Arkansas with Darren McFadden ... made the Wildcat an extremely effective offensive weapon.
From coaching, to running backs, to offensive linemen, do we have what we need to successfully switch to running the Wildcat in the middle of the season ??
Or will it just be wasted snaps ... ?

Don't think we are completely scrapping our primary offense.
I believe we need and are looking for short yardage success.
Our Offensive line is a concern, no matter what offense we use.
Choice and a few other players on our team have experience as QBs in similar offenses. The players you named previously did not - so it was obvious they were keeping the football.

I'd love to see it work.

... and you're absolutely right. With virtually no threat of a pass, the play ought to be super easy to defend unless you have a bunch of absolute road graders on the OL.
I'm all for doing whatever it takes to win games this year.

We don't have the OL. Doesn't anyone get that? And our coaches won't play the most logical RB, Kurt Fleming, in those type situations. So I look to see them trying to run a QB, who can't run, in short-yardage from the shotgun formation, which will continue to fail. Not a bright picture.

Problem is that the wildcat is very predictable for defenses, and we don't have an OL that can just come off the ball and overpower anyone.

Thus maybe article not needed since Clemson doesn't need any negativeness (if so)..plus I think TiGERs can win out without Watson IF Chad gives him & O a sound plan using their talents better than I've seen at times..particularly in the Red Zone and at running back (No shotgun plaease!).
GoTiGERs...keep Lighting iT UP Men!
