The playoff committee is 0-5

They still haven’t picked the winner in five years of the CFP.
If they can’t accurately tell us who the #1 team is.....what makes you think they can tell us who deserves the 4th spot?

By the CFP standard they are 5-0.
No team outside of the committees top 4 has won the CFP National Championship.

It’s a playoff of four teams who are seeded based on regular season. One of those 4 becomes the winner. Not that hard to understand.

We were told by the committee and pretty much every “expert” in the country that Alabama was the clear cut #1 all year.

In my opinion Alabama is so hyped up every year by the sports writers,Finebaum and the SEC lovers that most teams are beat before they get off the team bus for the game. Dabo has taught our guys that Alabama ,while good, are not super human as we have been conditioned to believe. They bleed just like every one else.

Based on what?
They hadn’t played any of the other undefeated teams or even one loss teams except UGA.
I’m guessing you’ll point to some metric.....
How about we let the teams play it out ON THE FIELD?

Actually you could say they are 4 out of 5.
In 4 of the 5 years of the playoff 1 of the 4 teams they have picked has won the national championship outright.
The only exception was UCF in 2017 splitting with Bama.

You haven’t given up yet? We would have done the same thing to the dawgs. Cry me a river, dawgs weren’t in it, didn’t deserve to be in it, will never be in the 2018-2019 CFP. They lost the play in game to Bama and had another horrendous loss to LSU in the bayou. It does not taint our Tigers accomplishments in the least. Please stop crying, whining, moaning, gnashing teeth about it.

I think the main takeaway from this is that on neutral fields the seeding is totally irrelevant.

You don't really believe that Notre Dame was one of the four best teams do you?
I think they had to put them in there because they were undefeated against a schedule with mostly P5 teams on it but that just shows why this system is flawed....
There are too many teams and far too few non conference matchups to accurately pick only four.

The final was a blowout same as semis. But more ok since the finalists had played their way in. I think my take on it is voting teams in sucks. So I’d rather have teams voted into a quart final than semi. The semis could be decided on the field.

The only team with a legitimate claim to the top four besides Notre Dame was Ohio State. You don't believe that Ohio State would have beaten us do you? I didn't think so. The best team won it all. Case closed.

I’m a little bit baffled as to why no one was trying to make a case for Ohio St.
Michigan supposedly had the best D in the country and they put up 62 on them the last game of the season.
In hindsight I think Ohio St. was one of the four best.

The committee will never allow another Big 10 team into the playoff unless they are conference champions and undefeated.
In the last 2 appearances by the Big 10 in the CFP, they have been shut out to a combined score of 69-0. At the same time leading up to those games, Big 10 fans and fans of Michigan State and Ohio State become some of the most arrogant, mouthy, and braggadocios people you could imagine.
I remember a particular Ohio State radio host out of Columbus saying, on national TV, that "it will be an honor for Clemson to even be on the same field as Ohio State while the Buckeyes give the beatdown of the century on the Tigers". We then proceeded to clobber them 31-0 and win the national championship.
That is why the big 10 was left out. They dont deserve to be in unless they are absolutely undefeated conference champions, and they stop their running mouths from writing checks their teams cant cash.

By your argument then ND deserved to be in the playoffs more than Bama did. Seeing as they held us to less points and the game was closer. Especially seeing as we sat on the ball and didn't even try to score to go up by 35.

It’s posters like you who should be banned.
Legitimate discussions can’t even be had because of you and the other delusional homers who cry every time somebody disagrees with you.
My OP is factual. The playoff comittee has never had their #1 team win the playoff. If that bothers you maybe you should go watch a lifetime movie or something.
