Just my opinion, but I really hope this happens:
Jeff Scott comes back on staff and named either OC or Co-OC and WR coach. Grisham can be moved to a special teams role or something else unless he wants to leave.
Streeter will not be removed because he has only had one season as an OC. Grisham is in his 3rd season as WR coach and we have gotten exponentially worse at that position. If it’s the players and not the coach, how is it possible that we whiffed on 2 entire recruiting classes of WR?
Cade gets the starting nod going forward unless we look even worse (which I cannot imagine being possible). A Qb plays a lot different when they know the staff supports them, DJ has heard over and over that the staff supports him, but knows that the entire fan base wants Cade.
More than anything I hope we get Jeff Scott back. I know there are some on here that say, “Elliot called the plays when they were Co OCs….” Well for those of you who haven’t coached, Jeff Scott was in every gameplan meeting, film breakdown, and making suggestions during the game. How do you think the play caller gets that sheet he is looking at the whole game? It comes from the entire staff making suggestions during the game plan meetings. It’s pretty simple to see that since Jeff Scott left our WR recruiting, passing offense, and basically overall offense has deteriorated.

I think they have whiffed on recruiting. Now thats a coaching thing to because they brought them here.

If he had a guy to throw it to him he would be one of the top freshman receivers in the country. And to think that’s the one we were slow to get an offer to.

You want us to name the guys that actually became playmakers using hindsight or those that finished their junior year in high school looking every bit the part of the next Tee or Nuk when they were recruited?? That’s a pretty lazy take. Of course your assessment will be accurate 2, 3, 4 years after the decision is made. All of those ‘21 and ‘22 guys still have the opportunity to be playmakers. AW looking good. Briningstool and Allen doing their part. Randall TBD. Not enough time yet but I’m not ready to give up on him.

I should have said besides the freshman this year. Antonio is by far the best receiver we have and Randall is TBD. More talking about prior years. More showing just the misses in recruiting up until this year and when we hear we have talent in the receiver room well do we really?

2019 we swung and miss on all except Davis Allen who will be a NFL TE...
2020 don't know what the h3ll happened to E.J.
And, if we're being honest, we knew Ajou Ajou was a "project "..
2021 stool will be a stud!!! Beaux has shown flashes.. and we really haven't seen Stellato play(COVID ACL)
2022 I still think AW0 And Adam "baby julio" Randall will be great(slowly coming back front tearing ACL in the spring)......

I agree with TEs. I put them in there bc of course we use them mostly as WR more than actual TEs but they weren't recruited by grish or scott.

Scott recruited those guys up until 2021. I like Jeff but facts are he missed on guys for 2 years from 2019-2020. Some of it has to do with injuries but none of those guys have really panned out.

But you can also argue that he didn't get to develop them. I would assume that Scott went after guys with the tools he required within his developmental process.

Go get an outside OC with proven experience who can overhaul this offense, and who isn’t afraid to tell Dabo the truth. No more “yes men”.
