Maybe the coaches only wanted the most dependable receivers to protect DJ a bit.

EJ Williams is going to be special! He is a difference maker who goes and gets it opposed to "wait for the ball"! The other guys will get it eventually. I had the same question about these two. Not even targeted today! Curious!

Ladson has dropped to many balls but he can work his way back.

EJ is the only WR outside of Amari who had really shown promise.

Ladson has definitely created separation. He just has weird problem with drops this year.
The coaches rave about Ngata from what they see in practice. There must be something there that injuries have hindered to this point.
Our coaches are better evaluators of talent at the WR position than anyone in CFB recently.

Let’s hear it for Cornell Powell! Clutch catches along with Amari. Where did my tight ends go today?

Perhaps it is only obvious to me, but the chemistry between EJ Williams and Cornel Powell and DJ exists because they're normally 2nd team WR's. Thus, they work with DJ all day from the start of preseason. Maybe that was the reason they played more. And who is to say it was a bad decision? They all played well.

Frustrating that we don't know or care to use our tight ends. We ran Travis at least a dozen series or more between the tackles on 1st down, only to end up with a 2nd and 8 each time. I bet that surprised them. Play calling period !!! No creativity.

### was that call???? Cost us 14 points. Sneak it in with your 6’5” 250 lb QB. It’s not hard.

Some were saying Ladson was not well before game in warm-ups. Nothing stated on Ngata.

Here is the deal:

For the record, the opinion below is based on no physical issues with any of our receivers.
Today, we found out which receivers have legit trust from Tony Elliott. They are Amari, Powell and ETN. Simple as that.
Because of the circumstances of today's game, we couldn't afford to leave any slack in the line. Amari and Powell are the two most reliable receivers on the team. EJ Williams is working his way up the totem pole. Ngata and Ladson were MIA. Very curious to see the snap counts when they become available.
I'm not down on Ngata and Ladson. Perhaps one of them will live up to Dabo's hype later this season. We are still waiting.
If Ngata remains hindered by his injury I feel bad for him. Maybe it just isn't his year.
