Thanks! Samsung was my first thought, but it's been so long since I've bought a new one I didn't know if they were still as reliable.

I personally have 3 Samsungs and an LG. Like all of them. Get what you pay for from what I have found out. Technology is changing so fast it’s hard to keep up with the best.

I go to the Best Buy app or website and you can set up a direct comparison feature for feature on 4 at a time. Between that and reading user reviews you can get a pretty good gauge on what you feel is good for the money.

You’re basically down to Samsung, LG, Sony. The rest are Chinese budget brands. Do your homework on the technology. If it’s a well lit room then consider LED for brightness. On the higher end is OLED technology, but for a bedroom is probably overkill. Also speakers on tv’s are substandard. Leave budget for a speaker bar.

Second the speaker bar. I am actually waiting for Samsung to start removing speakers completely from their high end units.

Depends on which model, the very best is QLED OR OLED, one's Samsung, the other is either an LG or Visio, all the pictures are incredible and it's like you are on the sidelines, or standing beside the green. Talk to the Video/Audio guys at Best Buy, I love mine!

Dang BBO power surges or what happened? I have had one of my Samsungs for years. It’s not the latest or greatest but still has a good picture. I do like Vizio’s as well.

Lightning for one

I didn’t count, but the other two I couldn’t explain beyond latent defect. The most recent one I bought, the volume just quit working. Nah, it wasn’t on mute ?? The receiver also had a bug. I had to constantly reset our WIFI, but the LG I bought to replace it doesn’t have the same issue so it’s not the connection.
I’m sure there are thousands of good stories on them, but it was cheap and I probably got what I paid for.
I’d endorse LG at this point.

Sony is great, but you will NEVER find "Sony" and "cheap"

in the same sentence moneywise, except to say that Sonys are never cheap.
I had one of the 60 inch LCOS Sony projection tvs from 2005 until 2019. It took that long for somebody else (Samsung) to come along with what I thought was a superior enough picture to make the change.
Now I don't have to deal with those darn projection bulbs burning out anymore. AND, the Samsung LED picture is consistently bright and super sharp all over the screen, even at the farthest corners. (Not to mention that a 65" only weighs 82 lbs, and hangs on my wall, where the old Sony weighed 269 lbs, and had to sit on top of an entertainment center!)

Depends on what you are looking for. If your looking for the best that money can buy go with Samsung Qled, LG Oled, or highest end Sony Bravia. If your looking for a tv that will get the job done and won’t break the bank go to Best Buy and get their version of the TCL or Hisense. Working with TVs everyday I’ve come love the LG OLED imo it has a better picture and refresh rate then the Samsung QLED even though by standards they are suppose to be the same.

I'm a huge fan of the LG OLED models. My next TV for the great room will be a 77" LG OLED model. It's the largest TV that will fit above the fireplace and the picture is absolutely amazing.

RR be sure to keep it updated if it takes updates and try to do a reboot. They are like computers some times they just need to be reset, and it could definitely be a hardware issue. Still under warranty? Good luck.

Samsung without a doubt. Go into Sam's and pick out the best picture. It will be a Samsung but don't buy a Samsung fridge. They are bad and won't last long. I'm basing this on personal experience.

Sams and Walmart are by far the worst places to buy TVs unless your looking for a lower model and saving money. Best Buy has the nicest all around selection because they carry the lower models but also carry the top of the line by each manufacture

Sony or LG. But buy it from Crutchfield. Their support is amazing. I bought a Sony OLED and some stereo gear from them and they will explain anything very patiently to make sure it is set up correctly. You may spend a little more, but you won’t be on your own with any questions. Free shipping also, so you won’t have to carry it out of the store and into your house.

Samsung QLED or LG OLED is my preference. Don’t buy anything made in China. Their quality is fine, but I don’t want to support their government.
