A message from our Commander:
Great News, Thanks to Ross Berman of Oak Insurance we now have a New affordable Liquor Liability and General Liability Insurance Policy! The Post will re-open at 3pm today Wed. 9/20/23. Thanks to all for your concerns and reaching out to our elected officials. We hope they get Insurance Laws changed to place Nonprofits into a different group than regular for-profit businesses. We can Now continue our Mission 'To Honor the Dead, while serving The Living’!

Thats right. Been going to both the VFW and the Windjammer since the mid 80's. Played many of volleyball games, seen many bikini contests, and put away a good amount of adult beverages.

Parents met at the Windjammer in the 80s and I put down a good few jammer burgers and ogled the goods at the contests before shipping off to the Navy. Miss that place.

Why do you think that? As a veteran, I am tickled to death they found a way to reopen. Don’t know where you got the idea I was happy they had to shut down.

The state of South Carolina “clarified” the law they created to say a business needs to carry $1MM in total liability coverage, NOT $1MM per incident.
That makes a BIG difference when it comes to insurance rates.
I think the politicians sensed a little “push back” from their constituents.
