Update on Jordan Travis health, for those who asked.

Mike Norvell is very tight lipped about injuries. This is all I could find.

*********
Florida State coach Mike Norvell acknowledged Monday that star quarterback Jordan Travis didn’t feel great physically after Saturday’s game at Boston College.

The Seminoles’ senior starter sustained an undisclosed injury to what appeared to be his left arm or shoulder during the second quarter and left the game briefly before playing the entire second half. But Norvell said he has no concerns about Travis’ availability for this Saturday’s game at Clemson.

“I’m not worried about what his health will be moving forward,” Norvell said.

He's going to play, he'll just be alil banged up and sore on that left shoulder....like most players. He's just fortunate it wasn't the throwing shoulder

As long as their OL can keep the DL off of him he will be fine. A couple of good shots then all bets are off.

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.

Summary of best guesses

This is a compilation of what I am hearing others say plus what I saw and am speculating. Nothing official.

The injury occurred as he landed on the ground. His elbow hit hard while his upper arm was vertical. It jammed the bone into the shoulder joint. That is not disputable.

So, the question is, "What was the result? Is there some sort of injury (bone, soft tissue, tendon, etc.) or is it just pain?"

If it is pain, he should be fine. If it is an injury it depends on how severe it is.

From that point on, everybody just guessing.

My best guess is it is pain. He'll have it taped up, take a shot of some drug to deaden the pain, and go play. My questions are, "How will he respond to being hit? Will it affect his decision making? Will he get rid of the ball quicker? When scrambling will he get down or run out of bunds quicker?"

Won't know the answers until Saturday.

A BC player also put a little pressure on that same shoulder as it was in the Jammed position as he was falling over Travis. So my guess is there is some serious soreness and possible minor tear somewhere.

Hopefully XT, Trotter, or Parker can ask him personally

Hope he's feeling better and all healed up for Saturday. Also hope that Saturday he has the worst game he's ever had.

Bret, you seem to have a lot of class. Hard to figure you out. FSU is obviously one of the most talented teams due to how they have built their team and the money behind the program. I believe our defense can hold up well but we need our offense to play better than it has in a long time to win. Jordan’s experience and age may make the difference as Cade is still learning. Good luck but I hope our tigers can stay at the top of the ACC.

Bret.... always love your comments on Tigernet. You are a class act. I'll be pulling for my Tigers just like you will be for your 'Noles, but regardless what happens, I just hope for an injury-free clean game.

Both teams have showed the good and the bad... anything can happen, just look forward to the game.

If we ever meet up for a game, I'd happily buy you a beer.

Go Tigers !!!
