Clemson is crazy if they switch over but they did sign the GOR twice so, yes, they could be crazy enough.

Can’t argue with the truth.

For the ACC, west coast members would be a financial dumpter fire and STUPID move. It would exult is huge $$$$ losses.

I could be way off on this and I apologize if so but I believe this is the 4 teams showing they can have an upper hand too… bc if the acc doesn’t allow the teams that clearly want out of the GOR deal to leave then they can stop the additions to more teams … which if those 4 teams decide to leave anyways then I believe espn can renegotiate the tv deal bc there won’t be the full 14 teams … and then espn can offer an even lower deal bc of the remaining teams which really screws over the acc… or what’s left of it at that point

The ACC media deal is already extremely undervalued because of the BS contract Swofford signed. ESPN couldn't negotiate down without the ACC being able to take the contract to the open market where I think they would be able to get more than the Mid12 even without FSU and Clemson. UNC, VT, UVA, NCST, and Miami are all bigger brands than anyone in the Big 12 outside of WVU and maybe Utah.

But there would be more than just fsu and Clemson gone … I believe what’s left would def allow espn to go lower … I mean maybe not I def agree with the stupid swofford contract but outside of espn what other network would get involved. The conference as far as football would be very weak and that’s just assuming Miami, vt , etc don’t want out but just don’t have the speaking power Clemson and fsu have so they are just waiting it out
