This is huge. Without a bold NIL plan, we will fall behind in all sports.

For the Brownell haters:
Do you understand why it is important that the NIL has a separate stand alone facility when there would certainly be space in other buildings for this activity?

It MUST be stand alone, or I’m not going in it.

I think it would always be empty anyway, because I don’t know anyone who “hates” Brad Brownell.
I certainly don’t hate him. I just want a new basketball coach. But some people are too dense to realize that.

if you don’t love The Brad, then you must hate The Brad.
in accordance with the prophecy. you must be shunned and exiled from The Body.

Exactly, I could count on just 2 fingers the people in my life time that I may have had feeling as strong as hate for them, and those feeling have since went away!!! Hate is about one of the strongest emotions that a human can have toward someone they don't want anywhere within few hundred miles of them!!!

Yes. A small stand alone building which features a moon cutout in the door

I hope this is enough. This program (Reign) implies the student/athlete will have to invest time and energy to prospect partnerships. I have no doubt other programs, Texas A&M for one, is just handing out money, no strings attached or very, very little expected. Giving every O-lineman 50K regardless pretty much solidifies this.
Reign sounds like it will leverage NIL the way most anticipated the way the NIL would work, the reality is much different. Kudos to Clemson and Coach Swinney for maintaining some measure of integrity.

You said "...other programs...IS..."? Back in the day, that was called a "penalty sheet error"!

A great recruiting tool for athletes who want a real NIL. We still wont get the mercenaries, which I think is a good thing.

Has anyone talked to the athletes about Bitcoin or Ethereum yet?
If not, I volunteer myself as tribute.

I hate how NIL has changed College Football (and other sports) but we have to stay with the times as best we can.

I’m sure it will be nice but for the elite players/recruits that make

nil the decision on where they commmit, I don’t think this sways them over other schools that offer them car deals, housing deals, and millions in cash but I do think that this will resonate and be more of a factor for the remaining players/recruits, just not the best of the best 5* looking to make bank.

Agree 100%. Moving forward any 5 star individual that has NIL in the top 3 of decision making priorities, we just need to pass on. Landing anyone in the Rivals/247 top 50 is going to be very difficult moving forward unless they have some predisposed allegiance or affiliation with the our school/program. Too bad, if we could get them on campus we had a chance every time.

At first glance the article headline suggests an action of actual substance was taken by the Clemson leadership to regain some sort of roster acquisition control in this heavily influenced NIL recruiting climate; but then I read the article, laced with subterfuge and no substance, knew immediately I was mistaken. Just more attempts to placate the casuals with the appearance of action. Tantamount to urinating in the ephing wind and a g d insult to anyone of average intelligence not wearing orange colored glasses
