I know everyone wants to peg Bresee inside because he's nearly 300 lbs, but he will have to play outside minimum half of the time, at least his first year. His early polish and technique combined with the freakish athleticism demand it.
Gotta keep his sword sharp at all 4 positions and allow him to exploit the weakest part of the O-line. This guy will wreak havoc and the other D-lineman will benefit from it.

Social media has certainly changed the face (and the body, and the guts...) of American culture. We stress about the five stars, and the four stars who deserve another star and ought to be worth a fifth star, etc., but I remember in 1988 an unrecruited 2-star football player out of Lamar, SC who made it into the Clemson program simply because we had a spot to fill and his HS coach told CDF he should take a look at this guy. CDF saw something in the kid and brought him on board - and he was all in. This guy, of course, was Levon Kirkland. Stars aren't everything (although they're certainly beautiful), but sometimes they align in perfect harmony with the spheres!
Go Tigers, and keep those doggies movin"!!!

There a few who slip through the cracks such as Renfrow and Kirkland but they are few and far in between. Just like some five star guys who don’t pan out. Odds are a five star guy will be better than a two star guy

to become more and more rare as time goes on. Modern technology and communication coupled with the extra interest and money coming into the scouting business (both in terms of the schools and Rivals, 247, ESPN, etc means far fewer prospects go undiscovered.
What you are more likely to see now in terms of players schools "missed out on" are the late bloomers that don't really shine until some point in their college career.

Bresee was getting rave reviews the first day. Too much Clemson for the voters?
