11 was too high. I think 17 or 18 is more realistic.***

Should have ranked them about #14, #15

Sorry, but it's true!
Rutgers = dumpster fire Penn State = dumpster fire Nebraska = big dumpster fire Michigan State = brand new coach and not a bunch of talent per recruiting rankings
Indiana = good team that beat up on some of the above mentioned teams and barely won some of those games. Including beating PSU on a last second controversial TD. PSU at one point was 0-5.
Northwestern = P. Fitzgerald is one of the more likeable coaches around. His guys play their butts off. But, they are not on the same planet as far as talent goes with OSU. Two different solar systems in that regard.
And, that's their schedule! Indiana got ranked high because they were a Big 10 team that was actually winning football games. But, look at who they played! And, the buckeyes struggled with them.
Forget about their historical success! Say, if that was Purdue with the same resume, would they get ranked any higher? No. They wouldn't and the struggles in the two games against half-way decent competition would be brought up w/o a doubt! The beating of less than .500 records "would be brought up and people who are honest know it. Buckeye fans who are not as in their "feelings" know this as well! It's no knock against them so much as is a knock on the opponents. Give them credit for beating a bloated Indiana(record bloated). Same with a 1 loss NW.
Crazy! My petty self wants to bookmark some of the comments for future conversations when Buckeye fans are saying the exact things! A year or three or next year when they play a full schedule and miss the playoff and they feel an opponent hasn't done enough. Let's see how it goes then! Because I already know!

Yes sir, you are so correct. Northwestern played two teams with a winning record, but those two teams played nobody, one of those teams played no team with a winning record, and the other played one team that barely had a winning record. For OSU, their schedule was like beating the coots, Kentucky, Vandy, Arkansas, Miss St, Florida St. They really haven't played any good teams, and that is the facts!!!

I agree with Dabo. We don't know much about OSU. I guess we will find out in the Sugar bowl.

We may not know much about them, but Swinney -- and Venables -- have a long history with them and as Swinney said, scouting them is easier because the staff has to review only six games.
