Don't Miss Practice: Dabo Swinney learns painful lesson at Alabama
On a fall day in 1989, an exhausted walk-on wide receiver out of Pelham, Alabama, tried to walk off of the University of Alabama practice field after a grueling practice session in which he was punished for missing a scrimmage. His teammates, seeing his anguish, eventually had to carry him off the field, but a young Dabo Swinney has never forgotten the lessons he learned.

“IT” is what makes Dabo a determined fighter with competitive ?? fire to challenge anyone at anytime to a duel of strength, wit and determination.
I love how Dabo learns lessons and grows being determined to fight another day to win the next thing though prayer, practice, preparation, planning and training with confidence/faith he will win.
“IT” has transformed the Clemson Football Program and put little ole Clemson on the map. As fans we have confidence/faith in the program to be great because Dabo made being the “Best” the Standard.
We have a lot to look forward to because of “IT”.
Go Tigers, go be Great!

Coach used to set out trash cans for suicides when he was unpleased with our effort.
Needless to say, we barfed in them over and again.

Dabo's got more Rudy in him than the real Rudy. His life experiences would make for an inspirational movie.

Good story. If he would have quit, he wouldnt be where he is today.
Funny how today that story is some awe inspiring thing. Back then and before that, it was called "normal"

Dabo is not a big guy. Can you imagine if he was big and fast what he could have done with the heart he has.

Thankfully we don’t have to imagine. Bigger and faster would never have gotten him to where he is today. Everything he is has made him the incredible success he is today. God has used him just the way He made him. Perfect for this job.
