Tim Bourret...

There are a few things in life that just become “part” of you and you never think will go away. Seeing the announcement his evening that Tim Bourret would be retiring, I realized HE was one of those things for me.
Now, I’m only 31, but for as long as I can remember, Bourret has been a staple of Clemson athletics. Many of you know, I love Clemson basketball. My favorite memories from childhood revolve around my dad and I going to parcheezies for cheeseburger subs, the basketball game, and listening to the postgame show on the way home. Through Jim Phillips, to Yannity, to Castricone, and now (as I take my own son) Munson. Through all those guys, Tim Bourret was with them all.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called my dad or friends to share a “Tim Bourret” stat that would be mind blowing.
Tim Bourret is the true definition of a professional in every sense of the word. I believe he deserves to join Bob Bradley in the ring of honor.

We compete for championships on the field, well Sports Information Departments compete also. Clemson is the Alabama in this competition, Clemson is second to none when it comes to the SID competition. The extremely nice media guides you get for Football & Basketball at one time were not available to public they were Media only. Clemson started this tradition and set the bar so high that is was nearly impossible for other schools to compete. The teams go out and win and give the national media something to write about, but the information that Tim"s department gives the national media makes the stories they tell 10x better than the lazy media would do on their own. Tim guides them to players with a story that needs to be told to the masses. Tim Bourett is what makes Clemson Special. He is the man behind the curtain that helps make the Clemson story so compelling. I know Bob Bradley groomed Tim for this position so I know Tim has groomed somebody for his position and just like Tim, they will have HUGE shoes to fill let's hope they do as well as Tim Bourett has.

Talk about no brainer....he should go in there immediately upon retirement. Best in business for a long, long time.

You couldn't listen to a Clemson broadcast without hearing his name.

Anyone have good ideas for Tim's symbol in the Ring of Honor? Bob Bradley's typewriter was perfect, but would Tim have a notepad or what?
