Question for insurance agents

I have a 18 wheeler truck that had a battery go bad in Melbourne FL. My driver tried to replace the battery and in the process the he got the battery cables backwards and blew out the ECM. Repairs will be about $7,000. Will my insurance cover this?

Park it on a dirt road and report it stolen.

and generally speaking, something like what you described would be covered by a Garage Keepers Liability policy. However, since your employee performed the work himself rather than taking the vehicle to a repair shop, the policy you have on the truck would not cover a loss of this nature. It's not a collision loss and comprehensive coverage only covers things like theft, flood, vandalism, earthquakes, fire or damage from animals.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

^^^This....unfortunately no coverage unless you have

some random endorsement on your policy...they include alot more things with sublimits now but doubtful they pick up this. Just curious, who the insurance company...not the agent but the actual insurer? You can always call the agent and ask.
