I think he's coming but really wants to enjoy his time. I'm 21 and would have done the same thing. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. If a 17 year old's college decision keeps you up at night, you've got problems. Hope he has fun, enjoys the visits, and stays with us but I'll be in the stands cheering next year with or without him on the sidelines. Go Tigers!

The deal you have with Dabo is once you commit to Clemson, all the fun and games are over. If you keep playing "the game", the deal is off and Clemson continues to recruit another person to take your place. Clemson is not gonna sit and be bound to a deal while you go out an shop your offer. Ain't gonna happen. Commit means a binding pledge. As an adult, you don't get to have your cake and eat it too. Ain't life a bltch?

Come on. This young man is committed. Loves Clemson for Clemson. When asked a hypothetical about what would change his mind he can only come up with "If Coach V leaves." And who would blame him for that. He says 99.9 just so he can go enjoy himself on his official visits. And you can be sure this has been cleared through Dabo. Go Tigers!

But that's the point, they're not adults. They're kids faced with once in a lifetime opportunities to see the world. That doesn't make them any less honorable or committed.
Lighten up Francis...

But committing and then not being sure about it is annoying. I'm all for taking all the visits a player can. But that is why you take those visits before you commit.

Loves Clemson for Clemson - what could be better?

He's enjoying the process and I would bet that Coach Swinney has talked with him and is OK with this.
I also love Clemson for Clemson. He'll enjoy is other visits but end up 100.0%

I will be shocked of Swinney is ok with this.

I don't believe this kid will be back. If he is willing to risk a Clemson scholarship just to take more visits, then he is simply NOT COMMITED. He has even decommited to take visits. Swinney's rule is Don't commit and later take other visits. He's doing that and I believe Swinney knows he can't take him back if he does. This was explained to Smith and was told to make sure the commitment is what he wants or don't make the commitment. He's gone

What a joke. He's saying that in an attempt to keep his Clemson offer while he looks around. We have seen the last of Smith.

set by the coaches.. its better than going secretly and lying about it.Just go visit and make sure you're hunch is correct. Dude I'd go everywhere if it were free. Go see games go see ladies go, go with your buddies... you'd be stupid not to want to do that. And Dabo doesn't want you doing that if you're committed. So Rashaun is being actually a good citizen in doing this. Maybe he ends up choosing another school - at least he'll know. I just hope the palm greasers don't trick him into something he'll regret. That's the only way I'd advise against it. But if you're mature enough to handle it when crooks feed you lines of bull then go have fun.

Didn't ray ray do this with his father but was with his other classmates on trips? I agree with Swinney accountability and commitment starts day one. If your not all in then you never were that's just all there is too it. Many guys are dying to get on Venables defenses. Mark my word Clemson will have a top 5 defense this year as well. If I got cold feet with my wife and said I'm 99% committed she'd tell me to f off. F these kids I was a recruit and when I made a decision that was that I knew. I wouldn't have committed if I didn't. He'll end up a Georgia Bulldog ole mark opened his check book like ole miss did to the nkendiche family.....I wouldn't fret this other kid who is all in looks like he's a killer and he's committed his family is committed. I get burnt out on these kids going on.....30 day soft commit and early signing period fix this crap. If your serious you commit if not get the #### on. We are a team not a single player. BE Like Deshaun!
