days, frosh could not play. And, there are nowadays superstars who leave after only three years, like DW4, Trevor, and ETN. So, when it comes to career records, there should be a three year, and a four year category.
A great "for instance" is, Fat Boy (as I always affectionately refer to Tajh Boyd) holds the all time Clemson career passing yardage record at 11,904 yards, accumulated in four years of play. Deshaun Watson is 2nd at 10,163 yards, accumulated in only THREE years.
So, Tajh is the record holder for a four year career, and DW4 is the record holder for a three year career, at least the way I look at things. You know, the old "level playing field" view and all that.
What say you all?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Tahj hardly played his freshman season so he only started 3 full years.

If they want to break Clemson Football records, then they better commit themselves to spending the time in Tiger Orange and Regalia. Some of these COVID players have a chance to set records that will never be broken.
One such record is the 69 games started for our special teamers like Will Swinney and Will Spiers

That's reasonable but would cause confusion whenever career records are the conversation. TD's, yards, etc.
