Was a very tough group of four they set us up with i know the woman's team hosted, but they were the only top forty team in there group for the ITA indoors.

the ITA kickoff weekend was a unique draft

Jan 28, 2015, 1:43 PM

teams choose where they want to go. Strategy involved. We chose to go to Duke. I think the thinking was that Memphis was a rebuilding team and a chance for a win. It backfired

Thanks for the info Im guessing the order you pick is based off ranking

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yeah

Jan 28, 2015, 2:53 PM

there are 15 hosts (Illinois gets automatic pass into the final 16 as the event is held in Chicago and Illinois is the host school) and the teams start choosing location from ranked 17-64. and teams can pass and not participate if they wish which sometimes leads to teams ranked lower than 64 getting in. Usually teams choose locales based on proximity and also where they believe they can win. The regions with the top teams in the country get filled up last which leads to some regions with multiple teams ranked below 50

Do you think we can beat them in Columbia?

They looked pretty good in the kickoff

Jan 28, 2015, 4:16 PM

Beating Stanford and barely losing to Ole Miss.

We will need to bring the A game to win. e did beat them last year 4-2 at home.

I will give a more detailed breakdown later this week.

I thnk they have several ex-Clemson players that

Josh Goffi and Ryan Young

both played at Clemson

but they were players long before the current crop of clemson players were around

old school. Ryan is a good guy - I used to restring his tennis racquets when he was in the juniors. Good player too.

He was a good #3 behind Jenkins and Reix

Jan 28, 2015, 6:29 PM

He was the last significant lefty player at Clemson.

Unfortunately I'll always remember him as the one who lost the decisive tiebreak to wake forest in the NCAA tournament 2nd round in his senior year with a chance to get to the sweet 16
