forced to go with him and the rest of the family to watch every, single one of my youngest sister's ballet performances from the time she was 6 to 18.... Dude - I have slept through "The Nutcracker" (every freaking Christmas) and "Swan Lake" so many times I have lost count.
I HATE ballet but I will at least give my sister her due - she was always among the best dancers on stage and for the 3 years she lived in Germany was good enough to dance with a professional German ballet company...

My 3 kids had piano recitals for years. Their teacher had the recital at Greenville Country Club and provided a full blown open bar.
My father in law was of Scottish ancestry and had a bit of taste for Scotch and frugality.
My in laws faithfully attended the grandkid’s recitals and literally glowed during and after the performances.
Furman should take notes.

They are old but you need to stop by and pick them up. If the first 5 mg doesn't do add 5 more in half hour and repeat until you stop climbing the walls.

.....even took pics. She went to NYC for awhile as professional. Enjoy it and never complain. Don't be a Bad Grandpa. I supported her. Encouraged her.
