“And all data points have been collected”. Hmm, they certainly didn’t do that when things were going well and the season still had a long way to go. They were making fun of anyone who had ever suggested Brownell be let go in previous years.
Just a way to reduce any anti-Brownell talk if they refuse to even discuss it before the season ends.

They did just give an interesting stat. Clemson has 3 quad 4 losses...only 1 team ahead of them in the NET rankings has as many as 2 (Yale).

WHY WOULD THEY SAY ANYTHING DIFFERENT. IT IS NOT YOUR JOB OR THEIR JOB. IT IS NEFF'S JOB. NEFF SAID BEFORE THE SEASON WHAT WAS EXPECTED. I GUESS IT MAKES YOU GOOBERS FEEL BETTER TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING YOU HAVE NO CONTOL OVER.

Their job is to discuss Clemson athletics. So, yes, discussing Brownell is quite specifically what they are employed to do.
SO YOU WANT THE CLEMSON FLAGSHIP STATION, THAT IS EMPLOYED BY CLEMSON, TO DISCUSS FIRING COACHES. GOT IT.

Not at all. That’s clearly out of bounds. But they should be discussing the elephant in the room…the situation, Neff’s expectations coming into the year, how the process typically plays out. And professionally keep the conversation in bounds of respectful but honest. That’s the job.

I'm pretty sure that WCCP is not "employed by Clemson", but rather that WCCP has paid Clemson for the rights to broadcast events.

Even if/when it's blatantly obvious.........until a "move" is made by the one calling the shots you won't hear any real honest opinions of the WCCP radio hosts.
I point to Clemson's OC situation as a prime example.

You can tell by all the backhanded things they are saying about Monte Lee now that he is gone which they would've never said when he was still here.
And to extent I get it. They want to keep positive relationships with coaches while they are here for potential interviews and such.

WCCP is not owned by Clemson University, but all the people who work there know they gotta keep pumping up Clemson Athletics if they want to keep their access to coaches, players. Don’t expect objectivity. Ain’t gonna bite the hand that feeds….

I’m pretty anti BB but I said it at the beginning of the year and still saying it. He makes the tournament he keeps his job. He misses it and I have no doubt that Neff fires him. Have to wait and see how it all shakes out. Not looking good for him right now.
