For two teams historically bad. Say what you want about Deion (and I’m not a fan) but that’s just crazy good exposure for the Colorado program.
It’ll be interesting to see if Deion can create a winning culture that lasts there. Also interesting to see if he jumps on to a program with “more potential”. The Big 12 will be wide open. He could win a lot of championships there… we’ll see.

Until the run up against Oregon and Southern Cal in successive weeks. Then those numbers will drop significantly.

It's great for Colorado as long as they realize he's gone in a year or two and use it as a springboard.

There was literally no downside. They have been terrible. Even if the whole Deion/transfer experiment crashes and burns, they have gotten massive exposure they would never have gotten.
They already got two more wins than last year.

You might be right or he could decide a weakened Big 12 is his easiest path to the playoffs every year if he can get recruiting up and rolling there.

There are also a lot of people on the West Coast that are getting interested in college football again. A lot lf people out west quit watching because it ended just being more of Midwest and Southern thing for a while there. Southern Cal coming around helps a lot too.

I should have just said out west. University of Colorado although Midwest, is kind of like a West Coast type of school. So many people out the way go Boulder, or at least they used to.

It's always odd, because people always talk about how they are out West, which tbey are, but growing up in California we never thought of them that way. The state touches Nebraska and Kansas, so we didn't view them as out West. You are correct though. I stand corrected.

You know better than me. I just considered them “Mountain” to coincide with the time zone but that is just me. Now that I am unfortunately a Midwesterner - sigh - I have become more familiar with the region…

7.9 million of those viewers stayed up to watch Deion lose.
If he'd have run away with it like everyone thought they'd have gone to bed much earlier.

I have history with this rivalry as I was in CO from 2000-2011. Went to quit a few Buffs games as they became my #2 team behind the Tigers. My friends, part CSU and part CU, and I went to the game annually.
Thus, I wanted to watch. I was pulling for the Rams though. The game was a great game. Horton the WR for CSU would have really helped the Tigers this year.
