No worry we will contain him in the pocket and sack him a number of times with our downfield coverages. And he is a slow runner to boot - just look at the highlights of his play where he had wide open lanes to exploit! Not by us!

Respectfully, saying Shrader is a slow runner is out right a lie. He is a long strider. He is 6’5 and big bodied so it’s super deceiving. I recommend watching the highlight of GS against Purdue or second half army where he cuts through the defense for scores and note the players he is burning past. He is super elusive as well.I do not think I’m being biased here but he is the best running QB in the country this year. Now does that mean anything in regards to winning? Not necessarily if we can’t do all the other things needed to win. But, I think you’ll be eating crow when you watch Shrader escape the pocket in the first possession and bust a 25 yard pickup where the LBs think they have him and he blows right by.

No. According to Dabo he is taking a pissed off team up there so I doubt our defense will give a hand to help their QB up off the turf when he gets planted into the said turf by the likes of XT, Parker, and woods. This team has a point to make and I don't feel bad it's going to be against the orange of Syracuse. Go Tigers!!!!!

I hope so but our sack numbers are not very high. The kid can run with the ball. From the game of theirs that I watched, he generally runs on the right side of the line. Hope Dabo puts a spy on him.

I hope they are hammering home fundamentals this week. Alot of bad angles, shoulder thudding and bad tackling happened vs Duke with a similar style QB. Get him to the ground when you get to him.

You guys have contained him very well over the years. He's tied for the best player on the field with Shipley, but I'm afraid Ship will have a field day and Shrader will not.
