Before I read this, I had just told my wife that Dabo should go

Seems like a big (enough) name hire that should breathe some life into our stale offense. Hoping he knows how to develop talented QBs, call a masterful game, and seems like another guy the players will love playing for. I wish Streeter the best. Always seemed like a classy guy and I hope he lands on his feet somewhere else. I for one am excited to see how our O looks under Riley! Go Tigers!

LMAO, I just posted in the Streeter fired thread that they could bet that if Dabo fired Streeter, he had been talking to someone before that firing happened. Dabo isn't no dummy, he wasn't going to fire his OC without plans of who he would put in that position, and this tells me that he had already hired Garrett Riley before Streeter knew he was fired!!!

No Stoops did not fore BV. Bv left because Stoops younger brother had just been fired from Arizona (I think) and wanted BV to got back to being a Co-dc. BV had made their defense much better on his own and he didn't want to split DC again so he walked.

Why would he get fired from TCU?? This dude led them to having one of best offenses in the country in 1 year!!! Yea he didn’t do great against UGA but no one would have… talent gap there was huge… this is a great hire!! Young hungry coach with a great mind for football and improvement!!! Way to go dabo for proving time and time again that the program comes first and is most important!!!

They were 27th in total offense nationally and we shut them down if not for a stupid roughing the punter penalty that never happened, they might have lost another game. Frogs had luck and refs on their team all year and were exposed by Georgia for the fraud frogs they are.
He’s still a pretty good hire by Dabo

Hey Genius, I love Clemson and why would I be here if I didn't? I probably like them more than you do and I've even met Dabo and some of your players, so not sure where your comment is coming from. Every post I make here is supportive of Clemson and especially Dabo, so you might want to change that tune, boy.
If you look around, on the posts by your own fans saying Clemson is going downhill quickly, I am the one saying Clemson is in the playoffs next season.
Your defense is fine. Again, I am more supportive and truthful than most of you. Venables struggled his first season and that is to be expected with a new coordinator. Get real, dude.

This is a very positive sign. Obviously an OC with the right stuff, and if he is anything like his brother, he will be a terrific recruiter. This also opens up Texas a bit more regarding future recruitments. It may even help a bit in California. Most importantly, Coach Swinney has heard the groans from the fanbase, and he is reflecting his own realization that the program is in decline, and on the edge of the precipice for middle of the national pack inr the coming period. In sum, this hire says good things about Coach, and signals good things for the program's hopeful change of direction in the next 24 months.

For those who are focused on the recent college championship, and TCU's lack of success against Georgia, just remember. This new OC got to the finals with only seventeen 4 and 5 stars at TCU. We have approximately triple that number.

Yes, Georgia did beat TCU down the worse ever in a NCG, but TCU was was was out matched in about every single position!!! I bet Dabo told Garrett come to Clemson, I have the horses there to beat Georgia minus a OC, and Garrett said, if you are offering I am accepting the offer. Dabo said just give me a few minutes to fire this OC that I gave a chance, but it didn't work out. But give me a few and pack up and come this way, we will pay for your move, and we have some awesome orange waiting for you!!!!

I kept saying Dabo is a problem solver and you see that with this hire. Our offense since the 2018 National Championship team has gone downhill and it improved a little this year under Brandon. I don't think he should have shouldered all the blame but when you don't get results in business and in sports you take the fall. Garrett Riley should be a good OC but he needs help with the OL and WRs. This is a good move because for the last 3 years we have put all the pressure on the defense to keep us in games. This new OC should correct that problem . GO TIGERS !!!!

Hey man, I have been TD to death for giving my opinion of Streeter's hire as OC, and I was correct with about everything that I was saying, but some of these T-Netters hate hearing the truth, and I'm serious about that!!!!

That we may be giving another run with what we have. But as I suspected and hoped Dabo did the difficult and made some changes. I have a good feeling about this one. This may serve us well in many areas including recruiting and defense after all is said and done

We had a disastrous Orange Bowl loss in 2011 and ended up with the best hire (other than Dabo) we have ever made. Perhaps another bad loss at the Orange Bowl will prove just as rewarding.

Things at CU in the short term, and assume he ends up leaving long term for a HC position, but glad to have him for whatever time we do. Hopefully he gets us back to elite!
