Any true Clemson fan will enjoy reading the recap of the 2012 Clemson vs LSU Chic-fil-A bowl game...

How many of you remember that Catanzaro was a walk-on? Love Dabo's comments about the best is yet to come!

Nolan Hauser is in a class of his own for high school field goal kickers.

Hauser, a senior at Hough who has committed to Clemson, kicked a 48-yard field goal during the third quarter of the Huskies' 52-7 win over North Mecklenburg on Sept. 14 to establish a new national record.

The field goal, Hauser's only one in the game, was the 57th of his career and broke the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) record of 56 that was previously held by Cole Hedlund of Argyle High School in Argyle, Texas.

Hauser tied the record two weeks ago in dramatic fashion, kicking the game-winning field goal in a 20-17 win against Dutch Fork (South Carolina), the reigning 5-A state champions.

Hauser broke the state record of 52 career field goals in North Carolina as a junior in the 2022 season during a fourth-round 4-A playoff game against Grimsley and finished last season with 54 career field goals.

Boy, when was the last time Clemson had a true freshman kicker?? Looks like this kid has a legit shot to come in and just take the K spot if he's an EE.

I went back and looked at RG3s kicking stats just for comparison because I thought I heard similar things about him before he came in and...honestly, I'm kind of shocked at the numbers. His best year was 7/9 as a SR...No wonder the kid looks so green out there! Dude has limited in-game FG experience.

Hauser on the other hand is coming in with more experience -- I mean, the kid has kicked 68 FGs with 57 going in...that's 82%! I'm sure we'd all take 4/5 for FGs after this year.

Tahj was still a backup at this same point in his career. Cade improved this year something our previous QB didn’t seem to do and we should expect great things from him in the next 2 years.

That was such a special win for many reasons. Tajh Boyd proved to be one of the toughest QBs in the nation because LSU pounded him the entire game. He was like the Energizer Bunny. He just kept going. Nuke was unbelievable as well. That final drive was a thing of dreams are made. Especially the 4th & 16. Also, you have to appreciate Les Miles for making those horrendous decisions on LSU's final possession. He called two pass plays, which were both incomplete, instead of milking the clock and making Clemson use their TOs. That went a long way in securing the win for the Tigers. Great memories. Thanks for posting.

Met Tahj once in Greenville, super nice guy, could not have been more friendly.

Will never forget watching that game. Program changing.
