I was frustrated and upset with the play on Saturday much like the rest of the fan base. But on Tuesday it popped in my headed after listening to tons and tons of Clemson radio, the Morgan Thomas show and so forth and then it CLICKED. Dabo is the best thing that has happened to Clemson football and we would’ve drooled to have a 10 win season 15-20 years ago and now we’re dissatisfied. Not only that it clicked into my head that the very thing this guy said in the video was true. Dabo KNOWS KNOWS KNOWS exactly what is wrong with this team and he WILL do what it takes to get it fixed. The man is a professional football coach that has a better resume than every college coach out there beside saban and he knows what needs to be fixed but he’s not going to tell the media everything (coaches speak). Now think about DJ’s play this year and we would all agree his confidence is very very fragile so if your his head coach do u think it would be better for his confidence if u told the media he sucked butt or to try to coach’s speak the thing and brush it under the rug considering u have a conference championship in a week and u don’t want to hurt his confidence worst than it already is. Anyways GO TIGERS!!!!
I promise the above is worth the read.

to replace him immediately.
Hence, why I agree with your take. It'll be interesting during the ACCCG if DJ falters, to see if he's benched. Any faltering, I believe, will occur early enough for that type of call to be made, rather than a last second move out of desparation.

I thought he was going to show that the quote was completely misrepresented. I thought maybe it was a joke or something. But the added context really just made it more clear. If anybody disagrees with Dabo they are ungrateful and they want Clemson to be mediocre.
At first Pate sounded pretty sharp (for a sports journalist which isn’t saying much these days), but he seemed dismayed that anybody thinks Dabo is arrogant or that $11M is a lot of money. I don’t see how anyone can dispute points like that. We could argue about whether or not he should be fired, but the thing is NOBODY WANTS HIM FIRED! He keeps acting like he’s on a hot seat or something when he isn’t. It’s getting weird.
